8549944395_97f2d24ca5_zThis week has been hectic for me and I have not been able to dedicate as much time, and contemplative thought, to my blog.  I have been tired lately.

At times my health is such that my brain is foggy and stringing together thoughts is a challenge.  I made a commitment when I started this work to be gentle with myself and allow the blog to be a source of joy and not a source of work!  So today I will rely on the wisdom of others to pass along a helpful message.

Today I needed help.  Today I need rest.  Maybe today there is something you need and this can be a reminder to take care of you!

“Be gentle with yourself. You are a child of the universe, no less than the trees and the stars. In the noisy confusion of life, keep peace in your soul.” ~Max Ehrmann.

Sometimes we are tired.  We are wise to rest.  Sometimes we are sad.  We are wise to cry.  Sometimes we are anxious.  We are wise to breath deep.  Sometimes we need help.  We are wise to ask for help.  Sometimes we suffer.  We are wise to remember…..

“The seed of suffering in you may be strong, but don’t wait until you have no more suffering before allowing yourself to be happy.” – Thich Nhat Hanh, The Heart of the Buddha’s Teaching: Transforming Suffering into Peace, Joy, and Liberation.
